Brethren:

It is with much regret and sadness that I report our Brother Edward Holman Parrish Jr. passed to be with the Great Architect of the Universe today’ Tuesday January 29, 2008. Right Worshipful Eddie was raised a Master Mason in Cabell Lodge June 1, 1949, served as Worshipful Master in 1953. Served as DDGM for the 10th district 2001 and 2004 and Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge 2002. Eddie also served as District 10 and Cabell Lodge Masonic Home Ambassador for numerous years. Arraignments will be passed on to all once details are made available. His presence in our lodge and community will be certainly missed.
Brethren, our next Stated Communication will be held Wednesday February 6th at 7:30 pm. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. I ask that each of us contact a Brother who has not been to Lodge in a while and offer to pick him up and bring him with you. If he is concerned about leaving his wife at home alone please tell him that we have dinner before the meeting and all wives are welcome. I think she will enjoy the fellowship the attending wives have while we are in our meeting. Proceeds from these dinners assist in paying our lodge electric bill.
District Deputy Grand Masters Official Visit:
Right Worshipful John Douglas Runnett, District Deputy Grand Master for the 10th Masonic District, is making his Official Visit to Cabell Lodge during our February stated communication.
Most Worshipful Grand Master District Tiled Lodge Visitation:
Cabell Lodge will be visiting Day Lodge 58, on Thursday February 7th at 8:00pm. Day Lodge will be receiving our Most Worshipful Master Edmund Cohen for his Tiled Lodge visit to District 10. I invite and encourage all available Cabell members to travel to this most important communication and assemble as a group during our Grand Masters visitation.
A date for the Spring Fundraiser will be discussed at our February meeting. I am planning a “Bring a friend Night” later this year, now is the time to consider your neighbors and friends and determine if there is someone you would like to invite and introduce to the craft. Thanks Brethren for all you do for Masonry and I will be looking forward to greeting you at our stated meeting.
